NovoPen 6 is a reusable smart insulin pen from Novo Nordisk designed for precise insulin dosing with Penfill 3 ml insulin cartridges. It allows doses from 1 to 60 units in precise 1-unit increments, making it suitable for everyday insulin therapy where reliable dose selection is important. The built-in dose memory automatically records injection information, including the dose and time of injection, and stores the last 800 recorded doses, corresponding to at least approximately 3 months of use. Using NFC technology, injection history can be transferred to compatible smartphones and supported diabetes management apps. Depending on country, device and app availability, compatible platforms may include FreeStyle LibreLink, Glooko, mySugr and Dexcom CLARITY, allowing insulin dose information to be reviewed alongside glucose data. NovoPen 6 is designed for Novo Nordisk Penfill 3 ml insulin cartridges and compatible NovoFine Plus, NovoFine and NovoTwist single-use needles up to 8 mm.
